Consumers Union calls on FTC to update its Green Guides

The FTC should update its Green Guides. Last summer, the Federal Trade Commission charged four companies with falsely stating that some of their “bamboo” clothing and textile products were “antimicrobial, made in an environmentally friendly manner, or biodegradable.” The agency was relying on its Green Guides—formally the “Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims” —for the definition of the claims about those textiles

Earlier this week, Shea announced that the number of helpless victims seal slaughters are allowed to bash, smash, and shot during the seal slaughter will increase by 50,000 this year. Even seal slaughterers seemed to be calling her bluff , as they wondered who, if anyone, would be buying the pelts

Update: Pause & Play says the new release date is May 25th in North America. Will this be the date that actually sticks? (Thanks Slicing Up Eyeballs ) “I spoke with someone the other day via the Rhino family and they don’t seem to have a new date in mind for the remaster…not sure what the hold up is and neither did they”
