Fashion Week Highlights: Bottega Veneta A/W 2010
Bottega Veneta always do texture particularly well, and their big-weave spring and summer collection really set the tone for many designers this year. Great to see they’re still leading by example in the autumn/winter range, which is full of tactile delights. We’re also loving the colour palate used here, which is predominantly dark, but includes some opulent splashes of colour, as in the leaf-green tote (above left).

20 million Metric tons of greenhouse-gas emissions that Walmart plans to eliminate from its global supply chain by the end of 2015. The world's largest retailer collaborated with the Environmental Defense Fund on this effort, which places a significant burden on suppliers. Suppliers to the 4,300 Walmart stores and Sam's Clubs in the U.S.

Too bad there isn’t a club that gives benefits for going on 1,700-mile photo safaris. I know, I know — don’t even ask me how I drove so many miles in so few days! I wanted to stay out a couple more days, but I didn’t exactly get the “spring-like” conditions I’d hoped for. In fact, not once on this trip did I don a pair of short pants. My first stop was the Salton Sea State Recreation Area

Rolex GTG and the SAHH 2010 Report
Last weekend was one with a busy watch schedule. My wife is so happy with me Friday evening, I attended a Rolex get-together, arranged by authorized Rolex dealer Schaap ~ Citroen . On Saturday I attended the SAHH (Salon Amsterdam de la Haute Horlogerie) to look at all the novelties from Audemars Piguet, Baume et Mercier, Cartier, IWC, Jeager-LeCoultre, Panerai, Piaget, Richard Mille and Roger Dubuis.
