Actually, quite a lot, whether you want to grab an eye-wateringly cheap treat or take advantage of the generous reductions on the more high-end lines.

Bag Of The Week: Grand Street Disco City Bag
Really, no outfit is complete without the perfect bag. Foley + Corinna has created a bag that is both lust-worthy and practical. This Grand Street Disco City Bag is super sleek! It’s perfect for a city gal who doesn’t have time to mess around! I love the criss-crossed straps down the front of the bag; it’s tastefully done so as to avoid looking tacky and overwhelming.

Label Love: Sex-Kitten Stilettos From Pour La Victoire
I’m not exactly sure who this ‘La Victoire’ is, but she is one lucky girl. French shoe label, Pour La Victoire , by shoe designer David Giordano, features a selection of pumps, wedges, boots and other stiletto-ed beauties (and a few flats) that can only be described as burlesque beauty meets daring diva

Percy Jackson & the Olympians Delights Readers & Viewers (giveaway)
The Percy Jackson series was a huge hit among the 5th graders at my school this year and left them wanting to know more about Greek gods and goddesses. It was absolutely amazing that they chose to research topics like Pandora, Aphrodite, Zeus, Kronos, and Artemis for their independent research topics

The luxury cross-body bag from Marni
Cross-body bags are a utility trend that started off with more rough-and-ready knapsacks, sports and work bags. But the look has crossed right over into the high fashion mainstream, with some stylish examples of high-end hands-free items popping up in many designers’ collections

Lacy Looks For Summer!
While many of our favorite lace garments belong in our drawer of un-mentionables , the look of lace in your everyday outfits has a lingerie-like lust effect on the on-lookers. The see-thru floral ringlet design is perfect for a summery look and feel, as the whole idea around lace as a fabric is for it to be light and airy. The best part — a little flash of lace can go a long way

Yay or Nay: Is Fearne Cotton overdoing the Multiple Mulberry look?
It’s no secret that The Bag Lady is a huge Mulberry fan, and Fearne Cotton is currently one of the brand’s biggest ‘ambassadors’. Most of the time she wears the bags well enough, but I have to say, we’re becoming a bit tired around here of seeing Ms. Cotton laden down with several pieces of the luxury luggage (and no, it’s not just jealousy talking!) in a way that does them no favours at all

Just because they can’t see you doesn’t mean you’re not there
The call for papers for the Third Biannual Faith and Knowledge Conference for LDS Graduate Students in Religion contains a sentence that is, I think, wrong in three different ways.

5 ways the Americans with Disabilities Act changed the home
President Obama marked the twentieth anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act yesterday with a special ceremony on the White House South Lawn. “Not dependence—but independence. That’s what the ADA was all about,” the president said, before signing an executive order that, effective 2012, will require new construction to meet enhanced design standards for doors, windows, elevators, and bathrooms

Appliance makers get behind anti-vibration pads for front-loaders
It’s not quite Apple sending bumper cases to buyers of the new iPhone 4, but the Whirlpool Corporation’s distribution agreement with B Green Innovations, manufacturer of the Vibe Away anti-vibration pads, suggests that the issue of shimmying front-loaders isn’t going away anytime soon. You’ll even see the Whirlpool-branded Vibe Away pads on Home Depot’s website , where a 4-pack sells for $30

My Butcherblock Countertops Seven Months Later (and I Spy a Problem)
Well, it’s been seven months since I got my butcherblock countertops from Ikea. I still love them today just as much as when I first got them, and I’m still amazed at how they warmed up my kitchen.Remember what I had before?(This was taken when I was re-making and painting thecabinet doors, which is why they’re all missing.)That laminate countertop was standard apartment-grade cheapness

Review of the Casio G-Shock GW-2000
Casio G-Shocks play many roles: fashion icons, hardcore tool watches, respectable divers, etc. Today, we look at something of a new phase for the G-Shock line in the form of a “multi role fighter.” The Casio G-Shock GW-2000 sports aviation styling while retaining the GMT features of many of its older siblings. The GW-2000 combines the radio controlled technology which Casio is now famous for with a refreshed style more reminiscent of the MR-G series.

Seventh Generation strikes deal with the devil, er, Walmart
The temperature must be dropping in Hades—at least according to the forecasting of Seventh Generation co-founder Jeffrey Hollender. For years, Hollender maintained that “hell would freeze over” before his company’s eco-friendly products would be sold in Walmart. The time is nigh, according to the Wall Street Journal , which reports that Seventh Generation laundry detergent, dish soap, all-purpose sprays, and disinfectant wipes will be sold in about 1,500 Walmart stores starting next month.

The DOE wants to be your new BFF
The Department of Energy wants to friend you on Facebook , send you tweets , and share photos and videos on Flickr and YouTube . Secretary Steven Chu has seen the light and is spreading DOE’s message on, you guessed it, a new Energy blog . “While the act of starting a blog is hardly novel, it is a first for us and part of our commitment to achieving the level of transparency, engagement, and accessibility that you should expect from your government,” he wrote in the first post
