Tasting lemon, vanilla and mocha cupcakes at Dessert Club ChikaLicious
Last night I tasted cupcakes from two places, one of them being Dessert Club ChikaLicious in the East Village. I’ve tried most of the cupcakes at most New York City bakeries and while I have my favorites, am always on the lookout for something new. I found it at ChikaLicious (will just call it that for shorthand)

10 Elvis cupcakes to celebrate the King’s birthday
Today would have been Elvis Aaron Presley’s 75th birthday, so we’re celebrating by posting 10 Elvis cupcakes (usually a version of peanut butter and banana, sometimes with bacon), sometimes with images of Elvis (and yes, some of these are oldies but goodies). It’s actually 11 but two are by the same person: Elvis casino cupcakes by Scrumptious Buns on Flickr by Erica Barraca (via Flickr ) – banana cupcakes with some (hidden) chocolate ganache and alot of peanut buttercream frosting from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World Vegan Elvis Comeback Special by Bake & Destroy (click for recipe) photo via Flickr Banana cake with Peanut Butter Frosting and Choc Chips by obliviousfire on Flickr The amazing peanut butter banana bacon cupcakes Brownie of Blondie and Brownie (click for recipe) made for my 33rd birthday! Hair-Shooting Tarantula Gets Revenge on Owner
Pop quiz: What are urticating hairs? ( polls ) If you answered A without checking out the Wiki page , I’m going to go out on a limb and say that you already read about the man in Leeds, England, who was cleaning his tarantula’s tank when he was shot in the face with urticating hairs early last year. The incident left the man with a red, watery, and light-sensitive eye for months, and now doctors are urging people to wear eye protection when handling their spiders.

Genealogy of Perfumes – Chypre perfume
http://bourtononthewater.info/genealogy.html Perfumes – just like food, music or wine – can be classified into groups, and this gives you a framework which is very useful when choosing a perfume for yourself or for others. Without it, describing fragrances is difficult. Imagine going into a shop to buy some music, and not knowing the difference between Pop, Classical and Jazz – you would have quite a problem! Chypre.

Give Your Style A Sustainable Makeover And Resolve To Be Green In 2010!
Okay, so in the past you may have opted to take your car to the corner Starbucks instead of trekking the required block on-foot. You may have thrown a water bottle or two in the trash when there wasn’t a conveniently-placed recycle bin right next to it. You may have even sprayed a few dozen extra spritzes of aerosol hairspray when that stubborn cowlick just wouldn’t stay put this past New Year’s Eve
