Scott Wolf Would Do ‘Anything Under the Sun’ for Jack
Axelle/Bauer-Griffin Actor Scott Wolf is no stranger to life on the small screen, but now that he’s a father — to 7 ½-month-old Jackson ‘Jack’ Kayse , with wife Kelley — his role on the new ABC series V has taken on newfound importance. “I’m sort of constantly diving in and out of my work life, and I’ve been lucky to be able to do that,” he recently mused to PopEater . “I’m grateful that I’ve had that opportunity, and that when I feel like I need to go live my life and be away from it for a little while, I can.” All play and no work isn’t always realistic, however, and on that note Scott adds, “I would definitely say that having my first child and looking down at this tiny face and knowing that I would do anything under the sun for him and, you know, that feeling of, it’s not just about me, or me and my wife

Christening Gifts – Quality on a Budget
Christening gifts should last for years – timeless treasures your godchild or grandchild will cherish well into adult life and even hand down to later generations. In the current economic down-turn, with everyone’s finances under a bit of pressure, it is tempting to skimp when selecting a Christening gift, but reducing your budget doesn’t mean you have to compromise on quality. It’s still possible to reduce your spend and still give a Christening present that has a high perceived value, offering years of pleasure.

Chocolate of the Week: The Raleigh Bar
A full bar of chocolate can be quite hazardous. Shard by shard, they tend to disappear. And so, while perusing the specialty chocolate section, as I always do when there is one, I was drawn to the Raleigh Bar, a mere two inches in length (stocking stuffer?) and just three dollars. Its creator is David Briggs of Xocolatl de David in Portland, Oregon. Briggs, once the sous chef at the Park Kitchen in Portland, keeps his culinary skills fresh by incorporating savory flavors into his chocolate bars. There’s the bar with Piment d’Espellete (a chili pepper from the Basque region), fried Marcona almonds and smoky paprika in the Almond and Pimenton bar, and a dark chocolate truffle filled with blue cheese. But the Raleigh bar is less molecular gastronomy and more common sense. Few would argue that salted caramel and pecan chocolate nougat aren’t excellent partners. The caramel truly is salty – bits of fleur de sel linger on your tongue – but with the sweet nougat and slightly bitter edge of the 72% chocolate holding the whole thing together, it’s a good thing the bar is so small. Oh, and there’s also a bacon caramel version.

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon: Jax and Jaid Are Two Peas In a Pod
Kristian Dowling/Getty Aside from their October 18th birthday, 2-year-old fraternal twins Jaid Thomas and Jax Joseph have little else in common! “[Jax] is definitely friendlier — he’ll be your friend right away — and Jaid is a little more reserved — he’ll check you out before,” the boys’ mom Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon dishes to Celebrity Baby Blog, adding that the differences between the two have been obvious “since day one…I swear to you!” That said, despite their contrasting personalities, nothing is stronger than the brotherly bond the twins share. According to the actress, Jaid and Jax have recently become more aware of the other and in turn look to each other for comfort.

The Name Game: Outstanding Outliers
Somewhere in between Bronx and Bob , there are a whole host of celebrity baby names that live on the fringe between “out there” and “traditional.” According to nameberry.com co-founder Pamela Redmond-Satran , these so-called “outlier” names have the added benefit of being “truly original” while remaining recognizable as established, tried-and-true names. Among Pamela’s favorites are Paulina , as recently chosen by former baseball star Mike Piazza . “Her middle name Sophia might be a trendy top ten favorite,” Pamela notes, “but Paulina, which has that same feminine exoticism, is a fresher choice that could launch a new trend.” Bronwyn , as chosen by Angela Bassett and Courtney B.

To be honest, I was never really a fan of Bebe Sport- my style has always been a little more running shorts, and a little less, err, rhinestone-encrusted stretch pants. Genetically engineered heavy metal fans
The wastewater released from industry often contains high levels of toxic heavy metals, which can kill organisms, damage ecosystems, and accumulate in the foodchain. Electroplating, lead smelting, mining, and countless other processes produce enormous volumes of such wastewater. In a perfect world, remediation would be powered by a renewable energy supply, there would be no solid waste to dispose of, and the heavy metal contaminants could be recycled back into the industrial process with minimal losses.

Baked Crunchies :Spiced Plantain chips and Pumpkin seeds
Baking is a good alternative to frying or deep frying ,with lesser oil used the food has lesser fat calories.Deep frying(or even over cooking)destroys some of the essentials nutrients like vitamins and antioxidants. Also prolonged heating(at temperature greater than 375F) or repeated reusing of vegetable oil at high temperatures can turn the fat into trans-fatty acids.Even though there are some guidelines to detect the number of times oil can be reused depending on the kind of oil used or temperatures it heated, but to be on safe side,I avoid deep frying as much as possible.

Obama Nominates Pesticide Lobbyist as Chief Agricultural Negotiator
Haven’t heard of Islam Siddiqui? You should know him. The Obama administration preferred if you didn’t, but you should know him. Why? Because he may soon have the power to directly influence the food you eat. President Obama recently nominated Islam Siddiqui to the role of Chief Agricultural Negotiator at the Trade Office. He will be charged to lead an organization which represents our agricultural interests both here and abroad. The problem is, Islam Siddiqui is a former pesticide lobbyist for CorpLife. He is the same guy who openly chided Michelle Obama for not using “crop protection” (a.k.a.
