EAT MOBILE “It was like being at a night market in a foreign country with all these different food choices, except that I was in downtown Portland.” Those were the words of my husband Mark as he tried to explain the breadth of food carts that have taken over the city of Portland.  I have been to Portland on and off over the years and have seen several food carts, but according to Mark, who was in Portland last weekend, the current food cart scene is unreal. According to the Willamette Week , Portland has more than 300 food carts. That’s enough to satisfy a hipster’s changing mood on food choices for months! Since Portland has become the center of the food cart movement, it’s not surprising that the annual food cart awards, EAT MOBILE should also be held here

title pic Allergy Relief Begins at Home

Sure, take your prescription antihistamines and over-the-counter allergy medications.  After all, it’s a sneezy itchy mess out there.  But according to WebMD Health News, 60% of people with springtime allergies have limited success treating their symptoms, by any means.  There is “no single magic bullet” to eliminate allergy attacks. The key to reducing allergy symptoms is to avoid contact with irritants like dust mites, dust, mold, smoke, pollen and animal dander all together.  Easier said than done!  So, you can at least reduce contact with these allergens by taking a few precautions to round them up or keep them out of your house to begin with.

Lookit this pretty font I found while I was pretending to be OTMA’s* designer instead of its author: OMG, I LOVES THAT. But oh wait, it’s a latin-cyrillic hybrid font, so look at the dumb things that happen when I add the subtitle: I guess it’s supposed to look exotic and Russiany, but if you are a person who actually reads Russian, this is what your mind says when your eyes try to read those words: D Iovel of Yaomanov Yaussia OMG, I HATES THAT.
