Coming soon to a billboard in Big Pine Key, Florida: PETA’s offer to pay $1,500 for the right to erect the above image at a new dog park in Hampton, New Jersey, may have been rejected by fundraising Girl Scouts there, but organizers of a dog park in the Sunshine State who read about the rejection found our proposal irresistible. They asked for a similar deal—and now their new dog park will be getting the funding, and park visitors will be giving paws pause to consider the fact that a resolution to spay and neuter their companion animals would help decrease the number of animals who are forced to live in animal shelters or on the streets. Meanwhile, our billboard could still grace Hampton’s new dog park

Manolo Blahnik: Every Shoe Tells a Story

Lucy Yeomans, Manolo Blahnik and Kristina Blahnik Fashion industry icon Manolo Blahnik recently revealed that when he designs and creates his shoes, he makes up a backstory to go with them. Blahnik’s shoes have been worn by top celebrities the world over, perhaps most famously by Sarah Jessica Parker in her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City television and movie franchise. In a recent article in the UK Independent newspaper, Blahnik’s niece Kristina Blahnik says that her famous uncle sings to himself in the studio, telling himself a story about a shoe while he cuts the pattern.

She’s looking for parents with children between the ages of 8-17 years who would be willing to let their kids fill out an anonymous survey called ” Kids & Facebook – The Honest Lowdowns by Kids under 18 using Facebook .” MJ is working on an article on Kids’ Digital Lives and has also been approached by the Chicago school district to present a series of seminars to educate parents about online applications and safety issues.
