Camouflage baseball cap from the 99p store , Peckham PECKHAM’S 99p STORE is quite literally a cavern of under-the-radar style. Taken out of context the camouflage print on this hat becomes more decorative; a buttoned-up shirt is essential. With branches all over the country and an ever-changing selection of stock, it’s worth a nose.

Mr. Hare is a big inspiration at the moment- not only are his shoes quite the most covetable thing on the planet, but his blog also cuts away at most of the flim-flam of blogging (overlong introductions like this) to get to the heart of the matter. Following his recent wish-list (or inspiration list) for Spring 11, MENSWEAR has come up with our own collage of the finest, the sexiest… the simplest… the most BOOTilicious… We’re getting aroused by camel jackets, black socks, patterned shirts, belted waists, belted cardigans, sandals, sleeves, trenches, belts with that annoying unnamed down-pointy end, leather patches, double-layered shorts, tees, cropped knits… can you guess which is by whom

It always, always seems to start with that one woman. You know her name- you probably know it too well. It practically slides off the tongue and, if like me, you obsess about fashion then you might find yourself saying it on a weekly (perhaps daily) basis

DIY is everything
Here’s a funny thing. Over the past 6 months or so, a subtle DIY element has found it’s way into my wardrobe- to the point where the other night my whole outfit was pimped (or modded, or updated, or remixed). The boots were re-laced, the jeans cropped, the sweater dyed black, the blazer buttons moved about, the bag had a leather wallet and charms attached by me

Read Melissa’s NYC Buying Trip for Fall 2010: Day 1 Woke up to a beautiful Spring day in New York – I have attended market in NYC every January for the past 15 years (before as a wholesaler, now as a buyer) and I have never seen weather like this! Usually we’re snowed in or it’s at least super cold, today I was wearing a blazer with no coat. Figured it was a sign that I should enjoy the day and do “research” instead, so the day started with brunch with the girls at a place called Public .
